I decided it was time to give my St. John Sibling Series a cohesive cover look. No Place Like Home even got a new title, FINDING HOME, to give continuity to all the titles. Admittedly it was hard giving up the title No Place Like Home and the adorable cover that came with it. But I am so loving the new look for the St. John Sibling Series, thanks to Covers by Rogenna. http://sweettoheat.blogspot.com/p/pricing.html

NO PLACE LIKE HOME live on Kindle
I’m so excited! The second book in the St. John Sibling Series is out! NO PLACE LIKE HOME is now available in digital format from Amazon.com. This story is so sweet and tender, I fell in love with it all over again while doing the final edits.
Hero Sam is wonderfully wounded, likening himself to the Tin Man of Oz fame. That was the guy who went to Oz to get a heart, not realizing he had one all along. All together now. Aaaah.
Of all the heroes who’ve chosen me to tell their stories, Sam definitely ranks among my favorites.
Happy Reading
SPOTLIGHT AUTHOR AT JEWELS OF THE QUILL
Hi All–I’m being spotlighted by the Jewels of the Quill this month. http://www.angelfire.com/stars4/kswiesner/jewelsofthequill2.html#spotlight
Want to know what inspired the first two stories in my first series, The St. John Sibling Series? What Shakespeare story inspired Taming Tess? Gee, that doesn’t seem hard to figure out. But, what favorite eatery of mine prompted me to write No Place Like Home? Who are the St. John Siblings and what makes their stories worthy of reading? For the answers to these questions and many more, check out the interview I gave the Jewels of the Quill. http://www.angelfire.com/stars4/kswiesner/jewelsofthequill2.html#spotlight
But here’s a sneak peek. “No Place Like Home’s” Dixie Rae (St. John) Carrington hasn’t let widowhood, the loss of her restaurant, and a custody battle for her son turn her outlook on life sour, thanks in good part to the support of her loving family. This makes her the perfect mate for Sam Ryan, a man who’s been running from conflict all his life, and for good reason. Abandoned by his father, neglected by his mother, and raised by an uncle he couldn’t please, he’s never known the sweet support of a real family. What Dixie, her preschool son, and extended family will teach Sam is the family he covets doesn’t have to be related by blood—that he hasn’t been running away all his life but, rather, searching for the right family for him.
No Place Like Home will be available later this month as a Kindle download. In the meantime, please check out Book 1 in the St. John Sibling Series, Taming Tess. Taming Tess can be purchased from Amazon’s Kindle shop http://www.amazon.com/Taming-Tess-St-John-Sibling-ebook/dp/B00FDFTJ0E/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1383972031&sr=1-1&keywords=BARBARA+RAFFIN and Smashwords. https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/372290
The Scarecrow & Ms. Moon released
The Scarecrow and Ms. Moon: a novella by Barbara Raffin
Jackson Wolfe made a witch mad and now he’s a scarecrow in her garden.
Hero Jackson Wolfe, in hiding his secret, lies to his lover little knowing she’s a witch. Jessie Moon sees lying the same as being disloyal and, in a fit of anger, turns the man she loves into a scarecrow. Never mind she’s never revealed she’s a witch, a lie by omission. He hangs in her garden for four months while she exhausts every spell to restore him, faces the retribution of the Witch’s Council by going to them for help and is put on probation by her coven.
On All Hallows Eve, the coven assembles at Jessie’s house to restore Jackson to his living, human form at the stroke of midnight. Jessie soon learns her future in the coven isn’t the only thing at risk. She has the twenty-four hours of Halloween to prove she can control her impulsive anger and love Jackson enough to let him go or he will be turned back into a scarecrow forever.
And that’s only half the story
